Obligations:
Sponsor and applicant, you should maintain your marital relationship and meet all the legal requirements to be granted a permanent spouse visa after the 2 year waiting period under the temporary visa. This Visa allows you to stay in Australia for indefinite period of time. It is normally granted on or before the expiration of the temporary visa. It is issued to qualified applicant.
Australian Fiancé Visa (Sub class 300)
This Visa allows you to enter Australia and marry your intended Fiancé within the Visa´s 9month validity period.
Your partner must be any of these 3 listings:
- Australian citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- An eligible New Zealand resident
This Visa doesn’t give you an automatic right for permanent resident in Australia. If you want to reside permanently you must first apply for a permanent resident visa.

As a Spouse permanent visa holder, you are entitled to the following privileges:
- Can stay permanently in Australia with your spouse
- Can work and study
- Can avail Australian health and medicate expenses
- Can apply for Australia citizenship
This permanent visa is granted after the 2 years your partner relationship or your marriage still exists, and your still eligible for the visa. For this you partner must provide a sponsorship for you. If you meet all the criteria for the grant of the visa, you may be granted a temporary partner visa (Subclass 309). This Visa remains valid until the decision has been made on your permanent visa.
